My Sculpting Story

In 2020 I started my sculpting career in Dorset under the tutelage of Mark Coreth the renowned wildlife sculptor. Mark is inspired by the movement of the animals he sculpts. Spending a huge amount of his time studying animals in their natural environments, he translates their movements and interactions into plasticine and then bronze. The more I learned about Marks approach it became clear to me that I could draw my inspiration from the fantastic bond that forms between polo pony and player. There is so much excitement, speed and passion on the polo pitch and I wanted to tell that story through my sculpture. This is my first series and each piece has my experience and passion from the polo field channeled into it. I hope that players, fans of polo and art connoisseurs will appreciate them. I am hoping that this is a start of a long journey into sculpture.
